Internal forces
push her towards an ideal she can’t reach. She can’t
give herself approval, she is blind to the beauty that
she is. Her heart is hungry, starvation cripples her and
she cannot reach out to others. There was something so
noble about this figure that I could not leave her with
a dirty face so an extra layer of the face had to be superimposed
to clean her up. That in effect though hides her decay
and shows at least my unwillingness to witness the destruction
these societal "ideals" produce.
